What Do Rashes On The Elbow And Arm Pit Indicate?

Had a rash start on the elbow arm pits that eventually covered my forearms, my lower lip and the bottom of my nose. This was 4 months ago . Went to Dr who said i had two things going on , contact dermatitis and impetigo on my lip and nose. I was given cephalexin for 10 days and mupirocin cream for the lip. After the 10 day dose of Cephalexin the lip wasn t cleared up and within a week the lip had reappeared the same half circle/backwards c shaped soars it had before so I went back to the Dr and he gave me another 10 days of Cephalexin. It went away but I never felt it was gone . It seemed more like it had gone dormant or under the skin . About 5 weeks ago the same red bumpy rash returned to my arm pit on my elbow and the lower lip started the same crusty soars that were there 4 months ago . Thinking this was a dermatitis outbreak I began treating with cider vinegar creams . However this time the rash on my arm was not my only symptom . My eyes were uncontrollably ichy like a really bad allergy reaction was going on that i couldn t control with sudafed or benadryl. I sneezed and my eyes leaked a crusty discharge which never got better , My lip quickly broke out in the same place it had 4 months earlier and my left arm was covered in small bumps that covered the entire forearm and this time my testicles had a rash start on the bottom of my sack that looked like what was on my arm , The rash on my face spread to my nose, around my eyes and on my eye balls and the testicles spread to my foreskin. Went to Dr who stood on the other side of the room and she told me she thought I had scabies without taking a sample or looking at me from a distance of 10 feet away but no closer . they gave me a permethrin cream which i used and it did nothing . I told them I hadnt had sex in 3 years and havent hugged another person in at least a year but they went with the scabies idea and sent me on my way . At this point i am miserable. i felt like i was having a sever sinus infection at this point and was feeling sick and sore and need this issue figured but they didnt like that i told them this couldnt . I found that tee tree oil made the rash on my face and lip fall back some but not my arm and definetly not my downstairs area . Today i woke up to my circumcised foreskin swollen and soar like never before . I never saw a bug anywhere on my body and cannot explain what is going on . I am hurting and Dr dont seem to care much about this and I need it to go away ! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME ?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Most probably it will be due to seborrhoea. We have to rule out other skin conditions also.

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief.

If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
