What Do Red Spots And Rashes On Skin After Chemotherapy Suggest?

My mom had chemo for lung cancer 2 weeks ago. Tonight she has developed a couple of red spots under the skin. They told us if she got a rash that it could be low platelet count and we should go to hospital. Is this the rash they were concerned with. She has about 3 - 4 spots.
