What Do Red Spots On Arms While Having Diabetes Suggest?

I have red spots of varying sizes that appear on my arms. They vary in color from light red to deep red and appear to be right under the skin. this started about a month ago. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about a year ago. They due not itch and are not sore.
