What Do Red Throat, Tender Soft Palate And Pimple Like Spot On Back Of Throat Suggest?

2 months ago I had a sore throat for 1-2 weeks. Since then weird stuff is happening. Throat looks red. 1 spot on back of throat (looks like a pussy pimple). Sometimes tonsils look swollen, sometimes not. Sometimes feels like something is caught in my throat, today on one side, tomorrow on the other. Sometimes there is pain when I swallow, today on one side, tomorrow on the other. Most recently soft pallet is tender (area at the back of my teeth). Almost feels like I ate something like hard toast that would scratch the tender areas of my mouth. Any idea what s going on?
