What Do Small White Spots On Legs And Indicate?

Hi. I have been getting small white spots mainly on the lower part of my legs. It looks like depigmented freckles. Most of them are small but a few are a little larger. I've noticed lately, they are increasing in number and I'm afraid it will become even more problematic as time goes on. Medical professionals have called it age spots & vitilago but I'm not convinced. Can you please help?
