What Do The MRI Findings Of Advanced Cartilage Thinning And Erosion In The Medial Femoral Condyle And Tibial Plateau Mean?
I just had a MRI with the following results Medial meniscus: There is extensive myxoid degenerative change. There is considerable blunting of the mid body segment with extrusion of the mid body segment from the medial compartment. No well-defined tear is are identified. The root of the posterior horn is intact. * Medial femoral condyle cartilage: There is advanced almost full-thickness cartilage thinning throughout much of the weightbearing zone with mild subcortical marrow edema. Medial tibial plateau cartilage: Relatively advanced almost full-thickness cartilage erosion is also present in the tibial plateau with greater subcortical marrow edema and prominent peripheral osteophyte formation. What does it mean?
