I am male, 34 years old. No previous illnesses. No Serious illnesses. No genetic abnormalities. Lab tests from recent blood work : Test. Serum: 236 Free Test.: 11.3 LH: 4.6 FSH: 3.8 DHEA-Sulfate: 229.3 Estradiol: 14.9 TSH: 5.100 T4 Free (Direct): 1.29 Triiodothyroine Free Serum: 4.1 Have used steroid like substances in the past, one cycle. More than 6 years ago. Thyroid aside I am thinking of starting a cycle of Clomid to see if this helps kick start the pituitary glad. This blood work is the second of its type showing low Total Testosterone level. The first one, my Test Serum: was 334. Both blood tests were drawn around 8:00am. Any input would be much appreciated. If I use Clomid, a 6 to 8 week cycle, should I use an anti-aromatase such as Arimidex? If so when should I start, how long should I take it? How much? Should I even use Clomid? My free testosterone seems nearly normal, but my total is way too low. Typical Questions Doctors ask me. Q: You know Clomid is for women trying to get pregnant. A: Yes I know this. I also know its used off label as I’ve described above. Q: What about TRT A: I don’t want to start TRT if Clomid can help first. Q: Your Total Testosterone on the first test was 334 was almost normal, do you have any symptoms? A: Loss of energy, to a moderate amount, and I use moderate in the clinical sense. So kind of a lot. Regardless of this and no matter what tests that include individuals way older than me I know a 334 and a 236 are not normal Total Testosterone levels for a male my age who works out. I should be near the 500 or 600 mark.
