What Does L4/5 And L5/S1 Protrusion Mildly Displacing S1 Nerve Root Mean?

Hi there. I hurt my back and had an mri. This is what it says. L4/5 and l5/s1 protrusion worse at l5/s1 mildly displacing the s1 nerve root on the right. Annular tears are seen on both discs.
Could you please explain this in layman's terms.
thanks :)
