What Does A Fluid Filled Lump In Vagina Indicate?

I just found a fluid filled bump the size of a peanut inside of my vagina. I felt something odd when taking out a tampon. I'll schedule an apt. with a gyn next week. It does not hurt and look see-through with clear liquid in it. What on earth could this be? I am 45 years old and am not sexually active.
