What Does A Growing Bump Behind The Ear Mean?

I have a bump behind my ear. It started feeling like an insect bite or ingrown hair. It grew to a knot that I can feel, in about 8 hours. I have one opposite that one behind my other ear starting to grow. I guess it is about 1/4 of an inch across. I thought I saw a line moving towards my ear from it.
