What Does A Painful Lump Under Skin Between Anus And Vagina Indicate?

I have a painful lump under the skin between anus and vagina. I am thinking it s a cyst or abcess. I had it before, saw the doctor but it went away before I went in for a second examination, after taking some antibiotics. My question is, is this going to keep coming back if I don t have surgery? It is too deep under skin for the doctor to drain it in his office
