What Does A Red Line On Bottom Of The Earlobe Indicate?

Hi, i have a red line on the botton of my earlobe, it was on my right ear and it went away for about a week now and its on my left ear, yes im gauging my ears but i had the red line on my right ear about a month befor i stated gauging them. Do you know what the red line could be from?
