What Does Abnormal Pap Smear Indicate?

my on gyn said pap smear was abnormal? freaking out?

they want to do a colscopy in 3 weeks. is this routine? they also said they saw something from the smear from in the canal. what could this be? they said its probably not an std. My husband cheated on me 8 years ago and i have had pap smears since and they were all normal except for now. what else could it be?
