What does all of this mean? The left ventricular systolic function is severely reduced, ejection fraction is 20-25%. The left ventricle wall thickness is normal. The left ventricle cavity is severely dilated. There is global severe hypokinesis of the myocardium. Left ventricular diastolic function is abnormal. Severe (grade III) showing restrictive filling pattern. Elevated left atrial pressure. · The right ventricle cavity size and systolic function is normal. · The left atrium is moderately dilated. · The right atrium is normal in size. · There is severe mitral valve regurgitation present. The jet direction in the mitral valve is eccentric and anterior-directed. · There is mild tricuspid valve regurgitation.
