What Does An Itchy Patch On Penis Indicate?

Hi I have developed an itchy patch similar to an early stage ringworm on the glans penis. Have had no sexual contact, etc. Have applied some anti fungal clotrimazole. Suggestion. I seem to get rein work each year at this time on my legs due to outdoor work but never on my penis. Naturally it is a concern. I am a 59 yr old white man near Houston Texas. Thanks.
