What Does Bilateral Polycystic Ovaries Mean?

i've menopass for last 18 days, i had medicines to stop it but still i have bleading.i had pelvic ultrasound done the result is as follows....
urinary bladder is normal.no evidence of calculus.
uterus normal.overies normal.
right overy 4.1x2.8cms.
left overy 3.8x2.5cms.
POD & adnexa are free.
impression as bilateral polycystic overies.
what it means?.this is the first time i get this problem of bleading repeadly.is it a major problem.what r the remedies to get cured.
