What Does Bleeding In Ears After Being Hit While Having Ear Tubes Suggest?

My mother has tubes in her ears -she saw her ENT this past week and he said everything looked great-she hit the left side of her head yesterday and this morning she has a lot of red blood in her ear. She went to the ER and they did a CT scan and it showed no head injuries but a lot of thick blood still in her ear
