What Does Bright Red Vaginal Bleeding Indicate?

I've had many pregnancy symptoms for well over 2 months. I have not taken any pregnancy tests but I missed my period last month, and this month it came a few days after it was suppose to.. Its not like my normal period though.. The blood is bright red and when I wipe, it's pinkish. Whats wrong with me??
