What Does Brown Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse Indicate?

I have experienced brown vaginal bleeding after intercourse and don't know why! I have had this before and was told by a doctor that I don't have any STI's, I am also on penicillin. I would really like to know why this happens. Am I pregnant? I have the birth control implant in my arm and it last till this August!
