What Does Creatinine Level Of 3. Indicate?

I was just refered to a new Dr from the Va. This Dr is a hemotologist. I was told over the telephone that I have adnormal light chains. I do have anemia an currently giving myself iron injections once a week. I am very nervous. do I have cancer? What can I do, my creatinine was at 3.9 and is improving, now down to 3.4. Don't know what is going on. Please advise
