What Does Dark Line Running Down The Back Of Leg Indicate?

Hello I was hoping some one could explain how I ended up with a dark line running down the back of my leg, when it reaches the back of my thigh it broadens and the colour of my leg is entirely different from how it used to be. I am almost 8 months post-natal and it is starting to bother me as it has not yet faded.
