What Does Delayed Periods With Spotting And Cramps Mean?

I have been taking tarana in dec and jan as prescribed by my doctor since I have PCOS. She told me to stop the medicine after the second course got completed and told to try to get pregnant. My due date for periods was on jan 15th. On jan 16th, I could see a drop of blood and lit bit of cramps. I didnt get the periods till date. Did a pregnancy test on jan 17th, but it came negative. Need expert advice on this
