What Does Diagnosis Of C2 In A Pap Smear Means?

I had a pap smear that had a diagnosis of C2, what ever that means ! I was referred to a gyno. for a colposcopy which revealed nothing ref back to GP. for another smear in 4 months, which has been done with the same result . I am now expected to return to the Gyno for another colposcopy. Is this the normal course of treatmen.
