What Does Discolouration On Head Of Baby Indicate?

Hi I took my 10 month old son to the Dr his dr said he had I style and that is what I thought it was as well but its been 3 days and now the part that was a head is now changed colors and has a black looking head to it and I'm very concerned can you help me
