What Does Disorientation In An Elderly Person Indicate?

My mother awoke at 3am to go to the restroom...returned to bed disoriented. She did not know who she was or where she was. She paced back and forth...she has been in bed most of the day indicating that she is really cold. She and my dad met with a man last night that was selling a car..she sent pictures of the car to my sister's phone. When my sister asked her about the car this morning...my mom didnt know what my sister was talking about. She had absolutely no recollection of having met this man about the car. When my sister drove over to check on her, my mom asked her what she thought of the picture of the car she had sent her...Worried.
