What Does Early Periods Indicate?

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant. I have been on birthcontrol for 10 years. I stopped the bill 2 months ago, and had a regular period 5 weeks later. This month, my period came a week early and lasted 2-3 days. I am not sure what this means, or when I will ovulate.
