What Does Fibroids With Irregular Periods & Bloating Suggest?

I have uterine fibroids (diagnosed about 5 yrs ago with no signifigant symptoms), however lately i have experienced more than usual bloating, discomfort, irregular periods and what appears to be tissue pressing down into the vaginal area.......?????????? Should I have this checked out? I was last examined about 3 months ago.
