What Does High Eosinophil Count Indicate?

Hi Age 51, Male Had a high eosinophil count of 2000 on routine blood test. Currently following with hematologist. Retested count is 2548. All tests so far are normal including Troponin I, CK, IgE, Vitamin B12. Peripheral smears are also normal. Only symptom is night sweat that started after foot surgery. Had a repair a of lacerated extensor hallicus longus tendon in October. Ruptured in January during trip to Mexico. What questions should I be asking or information I should consider as I talk to my doctor?
