What Does It Mean If A Pelvic Ultrasound Shows Multiple Small, Peripherally Located Ovarian Follicles, Possibly Indicating Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome?

My US pelvic (non OB) complete W/Transvag result says; Multiple small, peripherally located ovarian follicles bilaterally which can be seen with polycystic ovarian syndrome in the appropriate clinical setting. can you please explain what that mean? Thank you.
