What Does It Mean When You Get A Pain Over

What does it mean when you get a pain over the heart while running? I get a feeling like a stitch over my heart when running on a treadmill and after I stop it feels like there's a little bit of pressure where the stitch was. I'm an athlete trying to get back into shape after not really working out for 4 months, will this stop me from returning to peak fitness?
