What Does Lab Report Indicate?

My husband has acute 9mm infarct in the left ventral pons, without hemorrhage of mass effect. Moderate chronic ischemic small vessel changes and diffuse cerebral atrophy. Would you please explain this in a way that I would understand. What are his chances of having another brain stem stroke.
