What Does Mammogram Showing Dark Spots On Right Breast Indicate?

My daughter (38) has had two mammograms for the finding of 3 dark spots on her right breast. She is scheduled for an ultrasound week after next but I do not feel she needs to wait that long. What might these dark spots mean in comparison to white/opaque ones?
