Small broadbased posterior protrusion of partially degenerated L3-L4 disc is seen. The disc protrusion measures approximately 2 mm, indents thecal sac and mildly narrows bilateral neural foramen. However, no significant nerve root impingement. Small broadbased posterior extrusion of partially degenerated L4-L5 disc is seen. The disc extrusion measures approximately 3 mm, indents ventral epidural fat, migrates inferiorly behind L5 superior endplate, eccentrically encroaches into left lateral recess and compresses left L5 traversing nerve root. Degenerative arthropathy of bilateral L4-L5 facet joints, severe on left side noted in the form of facetal enlargement, joint space narrowing, periarticular sclerosis and osteophyte formation. Rest of the facet joints and neural foramina appear normal. IMPRESSION: - Mild levo-scoliosis centered at L2/L3. L5 vertebra Sacralisation (transitional vertebra). Small broadbased posterior disc protrusion at L3-L4 level without any nerve root impingement. Small broadbased posterior disc extrusion at L4-L5 level eccentrically encroaching into left lateral recess and causing compression of left L5 traversing nerve root. Degenerative hypertrophic arthropathy of bilateral L4-L5 facet joints, severe on left. This is the report of the MRI done of lumbar spine as i was having numbness and tingling on the left foot.
