What Does My Colonoscopy Report Indicate?

I was just told for the first time today by my new GI that my virtual colonoscopy from two years ago showed a 7mm polyp. He says it has to go and should have been taken out two years ago. Understanding that you do not have my medical records, in general, how big could it have grown since the colonoscopy and what are the chances it has already turned into cancer?
