What Does My Test On Lower Back Indicate?

Hi, I have constant non-stop back pain both lower and upper, test on my lower back revealed… Lumbosacral spine instability, Lumbar degenerative disc disease, Spondylolisthesis and thats just the lower back. I am still waiting for my Insurance co. to approve test on Thoracic spine. The doctor said its past getting back injections and I have two options, surgery or pain medicine. I cannot have surgery now and I m not sure if I want that. So I said I d rather start with pain medicine and he won t prescribe it. He said my primary doctor will do that. I went to her and she won t prescribe it either. What can I do? I have to be able to work or else.
