What Does Pain After Removal Of Enlarged Lymph Node In Groin Area Indicate?

I had a lymph node removed from my right groin area a couple of years ago. The surgeon thought he was going in to repair a femoral hernia but found an enlarged lymph node instead. I m having the same pain when I walk up stairs on the right side as I did before the surgery. The pain becomes intense and makes it impossible to walk up stairs. Could it be arthritis? Could it be related to the surgery? I am a 54 year old female in excellent health. Thank you.
