What Does Poor R Wave Progression In An EKG Report Indicate?

After always having normal EKG s (within the last year), today it came back poor r wave progression. The doctor said since he had no precious history to go by (new practice) and I had no symptoms of shortness of breath or chest pain, I shouldn t worry about it. He said a lot of people have it and sometimes the technician doesn t get the contacts in the right place. But if I ever do experience those symptoms, get checked right away. I have occasional flutter or skip a beat, but was told everybody gets that now & then. Due to my concern about the flutter/skip I had an echocardiagram done a year ago and it was perfectly normal. I have high good cholesterol which I was told protects me and I am a very low risk. There is no heart trouble in my family history at all.
