What Does Positive UPT Indicate After Having An Abortion?

I had an abortion a little over 5 weeks ago, at my post abortion check up I was started on the birth control pill. I have been taking it daily as instructed (except have been a couple hours late on 2 nights), and my boyfriend finished with a condom on every time except for once ( a little over a week ago). I started experiencing symptoms identical to when I was pregnant before so I took a pregnancy test today which came back positive. Is it likely that this is accurate, or just leftover hormones from my previous pregnancy?
