What Does Recurring Phlegm Type Lump In Throat Indicate?

I have recurring phlegm type lump In throat when swallowing. Doctor gave me omeprazole for it which helps a bit. Feeling comes and goes can have it for day or so then fine for days or week. Recently I get thesame phlegm lump but a dry patch in back side of throat. My tonsils were removed as a child but the dry patch does look a bit patchy spots of white. Had this couple weeks ago for 1 day it then cleared. Throats been absolutely fine for week or so until today now have lump and dry patch back when swallowing. I stopped omeprazole on doctors instructions she gave me another prescription telling me to use it if needed. Should I take it again or is this morea tthroat problem. I take salbutamol ashma inhaler too could it b from this
