I have a small red patch above my upper lip. It sprang up overnight. I thought it might be ringworm (which I've had several times) and I have been treating it with tea tree oil until I can see my dermatologist. But I've been looking at basal cell images and it looks a bit like a superficial basal cell carcinoma. (I am 62, and I've had a few actinic keratoses, successfully removed.) Could a basal cell spring up overnight? I watch my skin like a hawk so there is no mistaking when it arose.
