What Does Severe Diverticulosis In Distal Sigmoid Mean?

Just had coloscopy. Results are: external grade one hemorroid anus. diverticulosis moderate severe in distal sigmoid, mid sigmoid, proximal sigmoid and mid descending colon. tortuoisity of the sigmoid colon, redundancy of the sigmoid colon and a single diminutive friable polyp was found in the rectum (cold biopsy polypectomy). What does all this mean?
