What Does Spotting Between Periods Indicate?

hi. i have been using femilon for almost 1 and a half year since my marriageand we are planning to have children nw and i stopped using it. bt im finding some spotting between periods. is that an an indication of any problem or common? and doess that affect my chance of becoming pregnant. pls let me know.
