What Does Spotting During Pregnancy Post Cervix Cauterization Suggest?

I had cervix cauterisation few years ago for bleeding after intercourse. Now I am 8 weeks pregnant and been spotting on and off for weeks have had early scan and all ok and a heartbeat. But no explination where bleeding coming from now is this related to the cervix issue before?
