What Does Spreading Spots On Body With Dry, Scaley Skin Indicate?

ive been getting these weird spots on my body that looks a little like blood clot...about two weeks later it turned into dry scaley skin. i had one on my back and it went away...then i got another in my inner thigh close to my knee.im very concerned what could it be.?
