What Does Sudden Episode Of Flash Light Hit And Dizziness Suggest?

My wife had an episode where she had a flash of white light like she was hit, but wasn't. It caused her to fall over and lose her equilibrium. She got home and rested. Today she still feels dizzy? Any idea what this could be? All of her other motor skills are fine
