What Does Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Caused By Small Cyst On Gliotic Region Mean?

Hi there, I ve recently been diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy and after an MRI scan my neurologist s report said that there was a small cyst on my left anterior temporal lobe (gliotic region) which could be aggravating and causing the epilepsy. What do they mean by this? I m currently on keppra (1000 bd) which has stopped any further grand mal seizures and I ve just started carbamazepine (200mg once a day) to control minor visual and sensory seizures I ve been having daily. If you provide any information/short explanation on the above that d be much appreciated. Many thanks, Steve
