What Does Tender Breast With White Discharge From Nipples Indicate?

I have white stuff coming out of one of my nipples. my boobs are very tender to the touch. they have also grown a bit. I took a pregnancy test today but the results were negative. what can this be or what could be causing this. Is it normal or should I be worried.
