What Does The Hip X Ray Report Indicate?

I had my right hip x-rayed on 9/4/2014. An osteophyte/bone spur may be forming at the superior femoral head and neck junction. The joint space is maintained. I am starting to walk for exercise again. Walking for exercise triggers the pain. It has been sore for over 24 hours now. I don t know if I should use heat or ice, if there is a bone spur. I haven t contacted the orthopedic doctor yet. I don t know if I should get a new x-ray to see if the bone spur got bigger, or not. I stopped walking for over 6 months, before starting again. I lost over 40 lb of weight in 2014.
