What Does The Presence Of Pus Cells And Epithelial Cells In Sputum Signify?

Good evening

I am from India Kolkata. Today I have received a report of SPUTUM test because last 2 months I have cough. Please see below the SPUTUM test report for 3 consecutive days(all are same)



AFB STAIN MATERIAL - SPUTUM

(SMEAR STAINED BY ZN STAIN FOR AFB)

1. PUS CELLS - PRESENT(+)

2. EPITHELIAL CELLS - PRESENT(+)

3. SECONDARY ORGANISMS - PRESENT(+)

4. ACID FAST BACILLI - NOT FOUND



I understand from the 4th point that it is not Tuberculosis, but understand of point 1, 2 &3.



Can you please tell me what does mean of 1, 2 & 3 if present.
