What Does The Ultrasound And Intravaginal Examination Indicate?

Hi,

I have had pain below my lower right abdomen for a few weeks now. I am not pregnant (test confirms this) but my period is 5 days overdue.

I have also had a bit of bleeding (after passing faeces) off and on for over a year.

I went to 3 doctors and I was finally sent for a pelvic ultrasound & intravaginal examination.

I have today received a report saying I have a 5mm Nabothian cyst. The right and left ovaries contain small follicles. There is a trace of fluid in the Pouch of Douglas. Also I have a 6mm echogenic lesion within the upper vagina.

My mother and sister have had some sort of cancerous growth in the cervix removed. I am concerned because my doctor has said my report is "normal" given my period is due. Can you please give me your opinion on the report?
